NY Mills Post Office to host Passport Day

The New York Mills Post Office is hosting a passport day Feb. 14, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Required information and documents
Proof of Citizenship: one of the following: previous U.S. Passport or certified birth certificate or naturalization certificate or certificate of citizenship or Consular Report of Birth Abroad
Proof of Identity: one of the following: current driver’s license or military photo ID card or U.S. Passport or state issued photo ID card or government photo employee card.
Passport Fees: Each application requires two separate checks or money orders (not able to accept credit/debit cards)
Adults: (16 years old and older) $67 payable to U.S. Department of State; Processing and Photo Fee: $45 payable to the USPS
Children: (15 years old and younger) $52 payable to U.S. Department of State; Processing and Photo Fee payable to the USPS Expedited Service Fee: $143.25 per application payable to the U.S. Department of State plus $61.25 to Post Office.
Processing time is 2-3 weeks. Normal processing is currently six weeks. For questions or additional information prior to Passport Day, call 385-2420 to make an appointment.
Beginning Jan. 31, citizens will have to present proof of U.S. citizenship at the U.S. border. Documents include: - A passport - Birth certificate - U.S. military ID with travel orders - Native American tribal photo ID card - U.S. certificate of naturalization or citizenship
